Utah
Top Choice: Entrada at Snow Canyon, Ivins
9.3/10
Designed By: Johnny Miller
Try imagining yourself playing golf through an ancient black-rock lava field and you will find yourself at Entrada at Snow Canyon.
In what has become Utah's equivalent of Palm Springs, the greater St George area has become a true golf destination and to earn the accolade of top course among the competition is a testament to how truly cool Entrada is.
Sweeping desert mountain views, elevation changes, blind shots, and great contrasts of green grass to harsh desert surroundings make Entrada a must for anyone passing through.
**Please note, Entrada is undergoing a serious re-design and will be closed for the next 12-18 months. It is hoped that the makeover will leave many of the existing stunning elements and make it even more fun and interesting in the future.

Sky Mountain

Pros: Although a little dated, there are some extremely cool holes on the course including a couple where you are literally hitting off a cliff to a significantly lower fairway. Some nice optics and photo opportunities as well as a solid track.
Cons: Not necessarily built to today's course standards this still is worth checking out.
Score:
9.0/10
Copper Rock
-
Pros: One of the newest additions to the St George golf scene, Copper Rock benefits from the advancement of the game and course design over the past couple decades, making it one of the best layouts in the area. Given it's distance from the sprawl, this is also one of the few courses that is not surrounded by houses.
Cons: A little outside of town and hard to get to.

9.0/10
The Ledges
-
Pros: Some really cool holes and a nice challenge, this is a bit of a sleeper course given all the other options in Southern Utah but absolutely worth the stop.
Cons: Not every hole is the same caliber as some of the other courses in the area, but nonetheless it stays in the top-5.

Sand Hollow
One of the most photographed courses in golf the last few holes will make it worth your while and having your camera ready to snap up some photos.
Pros
The last several holes are absolutely incredible and some of the most photographed in golf.
Cons
The front-9 and first-half of the back-9 are absolutely nothing to revel over. If you could just jump to the last five holes and play those you'd think it was one of the collest courses you've ever played.
